With Commercial Vehicle production declining globally, the question arises that for how long would the current downturn continue. What would assist the turn around? What new markets would develop and what products would they need? Would infrastructure development facilitate in changing the dynamics of the market? How do we convert customer voices into products and services? Does the industry need to restructure? Is the current model and industry structure sustainable? What needs to change and where India could take leadership? A model that would leverage the networks in India to create scale and spread cost may be required.

India needs an integrated auto policy that takes into account the global dynamics, technology changes and promotes value addition in India.

What are the challenges for the two wheeler industry in the short and medium term? How will the industry look like? Would there be a sustainable market for large bikes in India? Can India become the leader in two wheeler industry? What are some of the technology, product development, marketing and branding challenges for companies located in India? What are some of the ideas, lessons and areas of collaborative working?
